As part of the Compass-Tus collaboration and agreement to create a few China-Israel innovation centers in both countries, the Compass-Tus delegation visited the towns of Herzliya and Tel Aviv in search for potential locations where such centers could be built. As agreed, such centers will promote the acceleration and exchange of technologic and academic knowledge between China and Israel.
The delegation visited the town of Herzliya, known as the “Silicon Valley of Israel” and where many of the strategic Compass subsidiaries operate. During their visit to Herzliya, the delegation was also exposed to the latest cutting edge technology in Smart City and Smart Safe solutions including smart lighting, smart transportation and additional under development projects.
In addition, the delegation was invited to meet with the Mayor of Herzliya, Mr. Moshe Fadlon. During the visit, the Mayor highlighted the importance of technological innovation and how together with the Compass subsidiaries, Herzliya has been continuously investing in strategic companies and infrastructures that will nurture strong technologies for both the city and its overseas partners. In addition, the Mayor added that the government of Israel recognized the importance of such strategic activities and has agreed to support such additional initiatives between Israel and China.

Mr. Wan Yiting, Vice President at Tus, said the visit gave him a great deal of understanding about Israel’s strengths, and that Tus’ activity in the Israeli market, together with Compass Ventures Group will commence in the near future. Mr. Yiting added that after having visited the city of Herzliya, meeting the Mayor and visiting a range of the Compass subsidiaries and partners in that area he understood the potential and similarities of Herzliya with the Silicon Valley. He was also impressed and gave many compliments to the local innovative Smart City solutions he was shown, saying he believes that those technologies could be widely adopted and used in China.
